Downstairs, the action centres around the bar, which is the best place to sit and soak up the lively atmosphere.
Upstairs has more of a dining room feel and is great for a meal with family and friends. If you’re sat at the bar, chances are you’ll make some new friends, with regulars who are more than happy to recommend dishes and invite you into their conversations.
It stands out as one of the few tapas places that is serious about sourcing top quality seasonal ingredients, resulting in a culinary experience that’s both authentic and contemporary. My first visit to Barcelona was when I was on holiday in Sitges in 1999. We hopped on a train and headed into the city and I fell in love with it the minute we arrived. Since then, Barcelona has been one of my favourite cities in the world. I have lost count of the number of times I have visited, and yet I still find something new every time I go back.
